Date: May 21st, (Thurs)

Live Performance: 6:30 PM

We have the good fortune to welcome Minnesota born, singer-songwriter, Rachael Kilgour for an evening of music featuring her heartfelt, album, “My Father Loved Me'“ (2023). Kilgour writes in hopes of finding a truth she can live with. "My Father Loved Me" was written and produced in memory of her late Canadian dad. In the spare and often gutting language for which she is known, Kilgour poses questions about belonging, inheritance and grief and triumphantly affirms the value of one ordinary working man’s life. Her intimate live performances radiate with sincerity and humor.

A dual citizen, Kilgour has toured extensively across the U.S. and Canada. She was awarded a prestigious McKnight Music Fellowship in 2025, was an official showcasing artist at the Folk Alliance International Conference (2025), and was a winner of both the Kerrville New Folk Contest (2017) and the Newsong Songwriting and Performance Competition (2015). Her oft-noted “unapologetic lyrics” (Rolling Stone) and “master crafted indie folk” sensibilities (Billboard) are on full display in each of her delicately woven songs.
