Life Forest (Conservation Cemetery)

I created Life Forest because I wanted a place for my mother that didn't yet exist. The Pre-Dead Social Club was born from a similar realization—that a welcoming place to explore dying and end-of-life topics didn't exist either. Today, people can ask questions, explore options, and take small steps before important decisions need to be made. Life Forest exists for the chapter that follows.

After more than forty years working in geriatrics, mental health, and senior living, I'm always interested in innovative approaches that support aging well. What excites me about the Pre-Dead Social Club is that it starts much earlier—creating community around conversations and decisions that are important, but rarely urgent, until suddenly they are.

The conversations sparked by the Pre-Dead Social Club create the emotional groundwork that makes legal planning more meaningful and manageable. We've found that clients who've reflected on what matters most, how they want to age, and who they trust to support them are often best prepared to create plans that honor their wishes.

In both my personal and professional life, I've seen how difficult it can be to make important decisions during a crisis. The Pre-Dead Social Club provides opportunities for people to start important conversations and take meaningful small steps while they still have the privilege of time—helping create greater clarity, less stress, and better outcomes for the people they love.

Supporting the Pre-Dead Social Club was an easy yes. With family spread across the U.S., I often find myself forwarding the newsletters and resources because the conversations are thoughtful, practical, and needed. Time and again, I read something and think, 'They should see this.' The topics resonate and help keep important conversations alive.
